When your profile disappears, everything else stops

A suspended or restricted Google Business Profile is not a ranking problem. It is a total loss of local visibility. The listing vanishes from Maps and from the local pack, the calls and direction requests stop, and in many cases the owner has no idea what triggered it.

Suspensions are usually caused by something specific: a business name that includes keywords, an address that does not meet eligibility rules, a virtual office or coworking address, a service-area business with a visible address, too many edits made too quickly, a category that does not match the business, duplicate listings, or a category that Google treats as high-risk and reviews more aggressively.

The worst thing you can do is submit repeated appeals without fixing the underlying cause. Each rejected appeal makes the next one harder. We diagnose first, correct what can be corrected, then submit one properly documented request.

Reinstatement decisions are made solely by Google and depend on its policies and the specific circumstances of your profile. We cannot and do not guarantee reinstatement, and we will tell you upfront if we believe a case is unlikely to succeed. We never submit false documentation or misrepresent a business.

Problems we work on

  • Hard and soft suspensionsListings removed entirely, and listings quietly stripped of management access.
  • Restricted or hidden profilesProfiles that exist but no longer appear in Maps or local results.
  • Business name policy issuesKeyword-stuffed names, outdated trading names and unsupported descriptors.
  • Address and eligibility conflictsVirtual offices, shared addresses, staffed-hours rules and service-area setup.
  • Duplicate and conflicting listingsMultiple listings for one business competing with and cannibalising each other.
  • Reverted editsChanges that keep rolling back because the supporting signals disagree.
How it runs

How a reinstatement case is handled

Evidence first, appeal second. The order matters more than the speed, because a rushed appeal is usually a wasted one.

  1. 1

    Full profile and history review

We examine the listing, its edit history, the business name, address and category setup, any duplicates, and everything publicly verifiable about the business.

  2. 2

    Identify the likely trigger

We match what we find against Google guidelines to establish the most probable cause, and tell you plainly if the cause is something that cannot be fixed.

  3. 3

    Correct and document

The underlying issue is corrected where possible, then we assemble the evidence Google asks for: registration documents, signage, utility records, and anything that proves the business is real and eligible.

  4. 4

    Submit and follow through

One structured request, submitted properly, then tracked. If Google asks for more information we respond, and if the profile returns we stabilise it before anything else is changed.

What changes

What a resolved profile looks like

The aim is a profile that is visible, compliant and unlikely to be flagged again, not a temporary reinstatement that collapses a month later.

  • Visible in Maps againThe listing appears for your name and your category searches.
  • Compliant by designName, address, categories and service area aligned with current guidelines.
  • Documented for the futureYour evidence pack stays ready should the profile ever be reviewed again.
  • Stabilised, then improvedOnce it is safe, we move on to the visibility work you actually wanted.

Questions

GBP Issues & Suspensions questions

The questions we are asked most about this service, answered without the usual hedging.

The most common causes are a business name containing keywords or promotional text, an address that does not meet eligibility rules such as a virtual office or coworking space, a service-area business displaying an address, a large number of edits made in a short period, a mismatched category, or duplicate listings for the same business. Google rarely states the exact reason, which is why a diagnostic review comes before any appeal.
